Poor little buddy boy! I was busy loving my date with my mom all day yesterday, while Prince Charming hung out with the boys. Somehow, even after getting home, serving dinner, cuddling up SuperT and getting him dressed for bed I missed a fever of 101.5. Right up until kissing him goodnight. He felt like a furnace!

Want a good tip from somebody who has lost a thermometer EVERY TIME anybody got sick for the first 3 years of being a mommy? Buy one with a case. Put a magnet on it. Put it on the fridge. Every time! Even if you know you'll just be using it again in an hour or two! If you still loose it then replace it, and get a back up one. Put Velcro on the case, and attach it to your first aid kit or medicine cabinet!
Isn't he just pitiful lookin'? Poor guy! He woke with a lesser temp of 100.1, technically NOT a fever, but still not good. Now PrinceC and Batman are at church while SuperT and I are chillin' out and watching movies.
Listening to him cough is just killing me though! I can't decide if it sounds like croup or not. At least he isn't having any troubles breathing!
Right now I'm giving him Advil for his fever (I know.... It's considered a big nono by some, but I'm terrified of a fever seizure!) and Hylands Cough and Cold for the cough as well as some honey. He's doing a little better now but I expect that will change when Batman comes home and can't resist instigating him.
*Honey is NOT recommended according to any medical source I can think of for little ones under 1 due to the possibility of botulism. You are the parent and have the ultimate say, but be smart and research it. I did research it and decided not to use it on my kids when they were that young. Better safe than sorry!
**Hylands Cough and Cold is an all natural cough syrup safe for kids 2 and up. I know you can find it at some Walmart and HyVee stores.
